LENO screw mono pump, also known as a progressive cavity pump or a single screw pump, is a type of positive displacement pump that operates using the principle of a rotating screw inside a stator. Here's a breakdown of the working process of a screw mono pump:

1.Pump Construction: A screw mono pump consists of two main components: a rotor (screw) and a stator. The rotor is a Single-threaded screw with a helical shape, and the stator is a stationary tube with a double-threaded internal surface that matches the shape of the rotor.
2.Pump Priming: Before operation, the pump needs to be primed to ensure that the pump cavity is filled with the fluid to be pumped. This is typically done by filling the pump cavity manually or by using a priming mechanism.
3.Rotation: The rotor is connected to a drive system, which could be an electric motor, hydraulic motor, or another power source. When the motor rotates the rotor, the screw helix meshes with the stator's double-threaded internal surface.
4.Sealed Cavities: As the rotor rotates, sealed cavities or chambers are formed between the screw threads and the stator walls.These cavities move axially along the length of the pump.
5.Fluid Inlet: The fluid to be pumped enters the pump through the inlet port. The rotating action of the screw propels the fluid forward through the pump.
6.Progression: As the rotor turns, the cavities progress from the suction side of the pump towards the discharge side. The cavities act as individual chambers that trap and carry the fluid from the inlet to the outlet of the pump.
7.Positive Displacement: The screw mono pump is a positive displacement pump, meaning that a fixed volume of fluid is displaced with each revolution of the rotor. This displacement is constant, providing a steady flow rate.
8.Fluid Discharge: As the cavities reach the discharge side of the pump, the fluid is forced out through the outlet port. The pressure generated depends on factors such as the pump speed, fluid viscosity, and resistance in the system.
9.Pump Efficiency: The close tolerance between the screw and stator ensures minimal slippage and enables the pump to handle fluids with varying viscosities, solids content, or shear-sensitive properties.
10.Flow Control: The flow rate of the screw mono pump can be controlled by adjusting the rotational speed of the rotor or by utilizing additional mechanisms such as variable frequency drives (VFDs).
